hey man, where ya going?
So for those keeping tabs and anyone who wants to meet up along the way (tom, ursi, collin, autumn, andres?), here is our itenerary:
sept 21 - NYC > Prague, Czech Republic (note to R: see you soon, baby! xxoo)
oct 9 or 10 - Prague > London
oct 13 - London > Mumbai, India
overland travel down the west through goa, karnataka, kerala
dec 8 - India > Sri Lanka (with return to india after 1 month or so)
jan 7 -India > Bangkok, Thailand
overland travel south to the islands then back up north through chang mai, accross the border into Laos, slow boat down the mekong river eventually ending up in Cambodia to explore the ruins of Ankor before returning to Thailand
march 7 - Thailand > Singapore (possible few day stop over, may keep going)
march 7 or 8/9/10.. ? Singapore > Denpasar, Indonesia
by boat to surronding islands
April 5 - Indonesia > Brisbane, Australia (possible few day stop over, may keep going)
April 6/7/8/9? - Australia > Auckland, New Zealand
Ferry or flight from Auckland to Christchurch, NZ
June 1 - Christchurch > San Francisco
these are the dates as listed on our itenerary but they are all subject to change as we go.
So who's up for it? New Years in Sri Lanka or India? My birthday in Bali?

so we are starting the nightmare search for tickets and looks like we may need to snip sri lanka :( or maybe get a cheap ticket from there.
So, new plan looks like we'd be heading from London to Bangkok around jan 8, then doing all overland (cambodia, laos, vietnam, southern thai islands, malaysia, singapore) and flying out of sing, with possible flight once there to either Bali or Sri Lanka...we'll see. haven't booked yet, and travel agents are stressing me out telling me we need to book soon, oh well, your plan sounds wicked and we'll definately be checking you guys out asia stylee....

Cafe and Buskar are jealous that you guys get to do all that walking and eating and sniffing. They both said to thoroughly savour the many varieties of food you'll get, remembering also to gnaw the bones well!
